Transporting your car, truck, or motorcycle across international borders involves stringent regulatory hurdles—from US export title validation to strict Malaysian import licensing and complex tax valuations. Whether you are shipping a luxury sedan, a vintage automobile, or a personal motorcycle, DSJ simplifies the entire two-country import process to ensure your transport leaves the US legally and clears Malaysian customs smoothly.

Exporting a motorized vehicle out of the United States and importing it into Malaysia requires navigating specialized regulatory frameworks established by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department. Our experienced ground team and customs specialists guide you through every stage:

US Export Clearance & AES/EEI Filing: Before your vehicle can leave a US port, we handle mandatory Electronic Export Information (EEI) filing through the Automated Export System (AES) to obtain your Internal Transaction Number (ITN). We coordinate US Customs vehicle title validation (72-hour pre-export review), verify lien-free status, and ensure full compliance with US Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) regulations.
Approved Permit (AP) Guidance: We assist eligible expatriates (Employment Pass holders), returning Malaysian citizens, and diplomat visa holders with MITI Personal Approved Permit (Personal AP) documentation and filing requirements.
Valuation, Duty & Tax Calculations: Import duties, excise taxes, and Sales & Service Tax (SST) on motor vehicles can be substantial. We calculate your exact financial liability upfront, ensuring proper classification under the ASEAN Harmonized Tariff Nomenclature (AHTN / HS Codes) to avoid unexpected assessments.
Customs Form K1 & Onsite Port Clearance: Our licensed Malaysian customs brokers handle the submission of Customs Declaration Form K1, represent your vehicle during port-side inspections at Port Klang, Penang, or Pasir Gudang, and manage terminal handling charges.
PUSPAKOM Inspection & JPJ Registration Support: Once customs clears your vehicle, our local agents assist with scheduling mandatory PUSPAKOM technical safety inspections and preparing paperwork for final registration with the Road Transport Department (Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan / JPJ).

From crating motorcycles for containerized transport to coordinating Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) or dedicated full container (FCL) auto shipping, DSJ provides complete end-to-end management so your vehicle moves from your US driveway directly onto Malaysian roads.
